Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) professional who has been in practice for over 20 years. Started her career in financial planning in 1986 with a financial planning firm in Lawrence, Kansas. Received her Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification from the CFP Board of Standards in March 1990.

In 1991, joined the financial planning and asset management firm of Neill & Associates, Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri. Was promoted to partner / vice president in 1995 and named the portfolio manager for the firm. In October 1999 Neill & Associates, Inc. was merged with the investment advisory and asset management subsidiary of a large regional accounting firm.

In 1996, was part of a delegation of Certified Financial Planner® practitioners chosen by the Institute of Certified Financial Planners to travel to China at the invitation of the Chinese government. The trip involved meetings with banks, insurance companies, educators and officials of the Shanghai stock exchange. The purpose of the trip was to discuss the methods Americans use for individual financial planning and investing.

In March 2002 joined Garrett Financial Planning Inc., a Fee-Only, hourly as needed financial planning and investment advisory firm.

In July 2003 Rosie formed Balanced Financial Planning, a financial planning and investment advisory Fee-Only firm. Balanced Financial Planning was incorporated November 1, 2004. Balanced Financial Planning, Inc. is a registered investment advisor (RIA) in Kansas and Missouri.

Received a B.S. degree in secondary education from the University of Kansas, Lawrence. Completed graduate course work in education and economics at the University of Kansas and San Jose State University.

Prior to joining Balanced Financial Planning (BFP) in 2003: Served as a financial planner with Garrett Financial Planning for 4 years; 7 years as a vice president with First Mortgage Investment Company in Shawnee, Kansas; 2 years with First American Mortgage in Prairie Village, Kansas; internship with the Lawrence, Kansas branch-office of Sallie Mae.
