How much will it cost to engage your services?

We are a fee-only firm therefore our fees are based on the actual time involved in meeting with you, researching and analyzing your current situation, and providing specific recommendations and implementation assistance, if appropriate, at a rate of $270 per hour.  As a fee-only firm we are solely compensated by our clients.

Financial planning fees are determined on a project basis; the total fee for a financial plan will vary from client to client based on the specific needs and complexity of your situation with the majority of projects ranging from 5 to 20 hours of work.

Initial Engagement

New clients begin to work with our firm under an Initial Engagement, this includes a Presentation Meeting and a Follow Up Meeting. A quote of our fee for this engagement is provided at the Introduction Meeting when your personal needs are fully identified. If you engage our services once your Presentation meeting and Follow Up meeting under the Initial Engagement are completed, you then determine how much ongoing assistance you want with monitoring, implementation and investments moving forward.

Listed below are the ongoing services we offer and an estimate of the cost for these services.

Hourly Services

Most clients find after the Initial Engagement that an annual review is beneficial for staying on track with their financial plan.  Areas covered during your review are chosen by you, the client.  Typically, clients request a review of their investment portfolio, tax planning, goal review, risk management and updated retirement projections on a less frequent basis. A review will cost on average one-half of your Initial Engagement fee; the fees are based on the actual time involved, with the majority of reviews in the two-hour to 8-hour range. There is a two-hour minimum for annual financial check-ups.

Retainer Client Services

Retainer services start with the Initial Engagement which includes the Introduction Meeting, Presentation meeting and then Follow Up meeting billed in the same manner as hourly clients.  Thereafter, the client’s situation will be reviewed quarterly and the client will be provided with changes and investment rebalancing recommendations, performance reporting and financial needs review, for an annual fee, billed quarterly.  Clients are provided access to our firm for ongoing advice, meetings and access to a personal client web portal.  The annual retainer fee will reflect the complexity of the client situation.  The annual retainer fee starts at a minimum of 3 hours per quarter.
